Why have we never known to fast forward to a future and deem it fit for the present; nor take these pieces of the past we so fondly cradle...

Nine-year-old K once shoved her d.i.y kite towards my direction, one that she had to comply to make during kids’ camp activities. With a nonchalant face, maybe protecting her own feelings, she said, “My kite is so ugly. I hate it. You can have it if you want, or you can throw it away.”
Of course, I took it and kept it along with all the notes and little crafts that the children...
